Patience is vital

Nepal faced civil war, some call it revolution. Now a days , Peace talk between the 7 parties government and the rebels(maoist) is in progress. Maoist did arm struggle for a decade with the ruling government .they fought against the government ruled by the parties and by the king.
After the king took the power of the kingdom of Nepal on himself ,the maoist shook hands with the parties in the form of 12 point understanding (barha bunde samajdari). This agreement between the rebels . 7 parties called for jana andolan. Public followed their calls and sparked the jana andolan. the king rule was toppled.

It’s a situation of seize fire in Nepal between both the 7 party government and the maoist.
Peace talk is in progress. Maoist supreme commander Prachanda said in recent interviews that Maoist will not carry arms any further .They will carry their struggle through road andolan. This is a positive sign. Maoist is portraying themselves as a main stream party. sadak  andolan is the sign of maoist converting to a party .

They fought for a decade so the peace talk will be difficult .It may look like being passive .We must realize the complexity of the peace talk and be patient .Patience is vital in the peace talk. Take an example in Sri lanka ,  5 years of random talks and seize fires have  given neither any conclusion nor any road map has been formed.

All talks after war will be complex, so knowing the complexity we must give as long time as required. Patience plays key role in the success of  peace talks .Lack of patience may push the rebels back to war.  Hope it won’t happen.
